THAILAND: Nestled 190 km north of the bustling metropolis of Bangkok lies a tranquil retreat inside the lovely Khao Yai National Park – Hotel Mys Khao Yai. ‘Mys’ is a Scandinavian phrase which interprets to ‘coziness’ in English. It was my statement that ‘Mys’ additionally guarantees rest and an escape from the rigours of on a regular basis life.

Exclusively for adults, this boutique resort presents a sanctuary the place friends can unwind amidst pristine environment. Our current two-night keep supplied a glimpse into a world of luxurious coupled with nature – altogether peaceable and embracing, invoking a sense of wellness and calm.  

Upon arrival, we have been proven to our pool villa. The water was pristine and I instantly needed to leap in! The saltwater pool, cocooned by excessive partitions and greenery it was fully non-public and with its mountain backdrop it felt secluded and serene. A big sliding window opens to a bathtub, inviting indulgent pampering in the open air.

Apart from the full sized bathtub, the massive marble rest room has a separate shower-room, and a separate WC. Well designed and most comfy.

The villa’s front room was properly appointed with a bar, cosy settees, a second TV, espresso and tray tables. A terrific house to sit back, watch TV, chat, play video games or eat and drink. 

Adjacent is the entrance vestibule with a tree swing! 

Evenings have been a culinary delight, the place positive eating awaited. Truly a gastronomic journey, 

with every dish a masterpiece in flavour and presentation. From tantalising starters to mouthwatering desserts, each chunk was a revelation. The pièce de résistance? A heat quince pudding with wild blossom honey, butterscotch and home made candy corn ice-cream, a pleasant naughty deal with! 

Morning dawned, and it was time for breakfast with natural and regionally sourced produce. Afterwards a leisurely dip in the Skylight Pool, the resort’s signature glass-bottomed pool constructed from one massive piece of acrylic over 10cm thick, that stretches out over the lodge entrance. 

The Skylight Pool, is a marvel of contemporary design, one thinks of a clear mountain stream wanting down into the world under, with V-shaped supporting pillars mirroring the branches of the forest.

The resort’s consideration to element was evident at each flip, from plush facilities, high-end gear together with espresso machine, kettle, Bluetooth speaker, massive flatscreen WiFi TVs, energy showers, deluxe hairdryer, L’Occitane toiletries, digital scales, cute flip-flops, slippers and the softest bathrobes I’ve ever worn! The bed room was massive with an equally massive flatscreen TV with a rotating wall mount. The bedding and linen have been luxurious and full image home windows introduced the outdoors in. The home windows flooded the room with gentle and slid open to the pool space and a totally enclosed small non-public backyard. And for these like me that want darkness to slumber – black out curtains guarantee a restful sleep.

Architecture at Hotel Mys Khao Yai seamlessly blends with its pure environment. Rooms are impressed by the forest, with the beneficiant use of wooden. Leaf patterns adorn screen-printed glass. The room has many pure accents and the use of heat hue ties the design naturally collectively. 

As we bid farewell to this idyllic retreat, we replicate on its charms and impeccable service – a haven the place luxurious meets nature in excellent concord. Hotel Mys Khao Yai is not only a vacation spot; it’s an expertise to savour, a sanctuary for the soul amidst the majesty of Khao Yai National Park.
